What to Expect from the FOREVER LEGAL Academy

The FOREVER LEGAL Academy was never designed to be an ordinary internship program.

If you are looking for an internship where you simply observe from the sidelines, complete busy work, or add a line to your résumé without being challenged, this may not be the program for you.

The FOREVER LEGAL Academy was intentionally created as a professional readiness program designed to prepare participants for the realities of the legal profession, business ownership, brand development, and professional excellence. Our goal is not simply to provide experience.
Our goal is to develop future leaders.

Two Distinct Tracks. One Standard of Excellence.

The Academy currently offers two internship tracks:

Legal Track

The Legal Track is designed for students and aspiring legal professionals who are interested in pursuing careers in law.
Projects vary based on the firm’s active caseload and current practice areas. Interns may gain exposure to matters involving:

  • Personal Injury
  • Estate Planning
  • Probate
  • Guardianship
  • Business Law
  • Business Litigation
  • Intellectual Property and Trademarks

Because FOREVER LEGAL is a working law firm, assignments are often tied to real legal matters, client needs, legal research projects, drafting assignments, case analysis, and operational initiatives.

No two semesters are exactly alike.

Brand Track

The Brand Track is designed for individuals interested in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, digital media, content creation, social media strategy, podcast production, and brand development.
Brand interns may assist with:

  • Content creation
  • Social media strategy
  • Blog writing
  • Podcast preparation
  • Video production
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Public relations initiatives
  • FOREVER INSIDER content
  • Brand growth projects

This track is ideal for creative thinkers who want hands on experience building a modern media and professional services brand.

Hybrid Track

Select interns may be approved to participate in both tracks simultaneously. However, applicants should understand that the Hybrid Track requires a significantly greater level of commitment. Managing legal assignments while simultaneously supporting brand initiatives requires strong time management skills, organization, accountability, and the ability to balance competing deadlines. The Hybrid Track is not recommended for individuals who struggle with prioritization or deadline management.

A Virtual Experience with Real Expectations

Approximately 80 percent of the Academy experience is conducted virtually. Many applicants mistakenly assume that virtual means easy. That assumption is incorrect. Although the program is primarily remote, interns are expected to maintain the same level of professionalism, preparedness, and accountability expected in traditional professional environments.

Interns are expected to:

  • Arrive to meetings on time, log in several minutes early when possible
  • Wear their FOREVER LEGAL Academy shirt during required meetings
  • Keep cameras on when instructed
  • Participate actively in discussions
  • Communicate professionally
  • Meet deadlines consistently

Professionalism is not optional simply because the program is virtual.

Weekly Expectations and Time Commitment

The Academy requires a minimum commitment of approximately 8 to 10 hours per week.
Those hours may consist of:

  • Project work
  • Research assignments
  • Drafting assignments
  • Team meetings
  • Professional development sessions
  • Presentations
  • Training activities
  • Content creation projects

Some weeks may require additional effort depending on project demands and deadlines.
Applicants should carefully evaluate their schedules before applying.

Professional Development Beyond Legal Work

One of the most unique aspects of the FOREVER LEGAL Academy is that development extends beyond legal assignments.
Throughout the semester, interns participate in mandatory presentations led by attorneys and other professionals who provide insight into topics such as:

  • Law school preparation
  • Career development
  • Résumé building
  • Professional networking
  • Mental health and wellness
  • Leadership
  • Personal branding
  • Entrepreneurship

Our goal is to help interns develop both professionally and personally.

Preparation for Law School and Beyond

The Academy is particularly valuable for students considering law school.
Interns are exposed to assignments designed to strengthen critical thinking, legal writing, analytical reasoning, and oral communication skills.
Depending on the semester, interns may be required to:

  • Brief cases
  • Present case analyses
  • Utilize IRAC and CRAC writing methods
  • Conduct legal research
  • Analyze legal issues
  • Draft legal documents
  • Present findings to the team

These experiences help prepare participants for the rigor of law school before they ever enter a classroom.

Accountability Matters

The Academy operates with real deadlines and real expectations.
Projects are expected to be completed by the assigned deadline unless otherwise approved.

Failure to meet expectations may result in coaching, corrective action, or disciplinary write ups depending on the circumstances.
We believe accountability is an essential component of professional growth.
Learning how to manage multiple projects, communicate proactively, and meet deadlines is part of the Academy experience.

Mentorship and Access

Interns have opportunities to receive guidance and mentorship throughout the program.
Participants may schedule one on one conversations with Attorney Tiara Seals regarding law school preparation, legal career development, entrepreneurship, brand strategy, professional growth, and career trajectory planning.

The Academy was intentionally designed to provide access, not just assignments.

A Close-Knit Cohort

Unlike large internship programs that accept dozens of participants, the FOREVER LEGAL Academy intentionally maintains small cohorts. Typically, only a handful of interns are selected during each rotation. This allows participants to build meaningful relationships, receive individualized feedback, collaborate closely with team members, and become part of a supportive professional community. Throughout the semester, interns also participate in team building opportunities, including virtual celebrations and select in-person events when available.

Who Is the Academy Designed For?

The Academy is best suited for:

  • Sophomores, juniors, and seniors in college
  • Recent college graduates
  • Individuals preparing for law school
  • Individuals awaiting law school admission decisions
  • Aspiring attorneys seeking practical exposure before law school
  • Creative professionals interested in media, branding, and communications

At this time, students who are already enrolled in law school are generally not eligible because the Academy is designed as a readiness and preparation program.

Before You Apply

The FOREVER LEGAL Academy is rewarding, but it is not easy.

  • You will be challenged.
  • You will receive feedback.
  • You will be expected to manage deadlines, communicate professionally, and take ownership of your work.

In return, you will gain practical experience, professional development, mentorship, and insight that extends far beyond the traditional internship experience.
The question is not whether the Academy will challenge you. The question is whether you are ready to rise to the challenge.

How to Apply

If you have read this far and still believe the FOREVER LEGAL Academy is the right fit for you, we encourage you to apply.

Prospective applicants must submit:

  • A current résumé
  • A cover letter explaining their interest in the Academy and how the program aligns with their academic and professional goals

Application materials should be emailed to: info@discoverforeverlegal.com. Qualified U.S. applicants will be invited to participate in a formal Zoom interview. Depending on the applicant pool and position sought, the interview process may consist of one or more rounds with Attorney Tiara Seals and/or Executive Administrator Sabrina Donatto, who oversees the Academy’s operations and internship experience. Because the Academy maintains intentionally small cohorts, admission is competitive. Typically, only a select number of interns are chosen each semester, allowing participants to receive individualized mentorship, meaningful assignments, and direct access to professionals within their area of interest.

Before submitting your application, ask yourself:

  • Are you willing to manage deadlines?
  • Are you willing to receive feedback?
  • Are you willing to be challenged?
  • Are you willing to show up consistently, even when the work becomes demanding?

If the answer is yes, we encourage you to apply.

The FOREVER LEGAL Academy is not designed for everyone. It is designed for those who are serious about growth. The opportunities are limited. The expectations are high. The impact can last FOREVER. If you believe you have what it takes, submit your application and show us why you belong in the next Academy cohort.
